Color Palette Generator
Harmonies & Themes
Generate complementary, analogous, triadic, and split-complementary color palettes from one base HEX color.
What is this tool?
This color palette generator creates harmony colors from one base HEX value. It converts the base color into HSL, rotates the hue, and converts the generated colors back to HEX.
Complementary colors are 180 degrees away on the hue wheel. Analogous colors sit near the base hue. Triadic colors are spaced around the wheel, and split-complementary colors flank the direct complement.
The output is a starting point for visual exploration, not an accessibility guarantee. Always check text contrast, semantic color meaning, and brand constraints before shipping a generated palette.
How to use
- Pick a base color or type a six-digit HEX value.
- Review the generated complementary, analogous, triadic, and split-complementary groups.
- Copy individual swatches or export the generated CSS variables.
- Check contrast and brand fit before using the palette in production UI.
